Day 14
I was reminded of all these lovely ladies and childhood friends today. It's nice to remember where I'm from and the folks who helped me become the person I am today. I'm blessed beyond what I deserve. And, they're hilarious! #NC

Day 8 - B Proud
THIS MAKES ME HAPPY!!!!
These are my uncles who got married in a church in Delaware 20 years ago. My family and I attended their union at a time when the topic of gay marriage was not widely accepted. They went through a lot to be married in an Episcopal church, something that was very important to them. Their story and stories of other couples are put together in this lovely book called "First Comes Love" by B Proud Photography. For more information on this lovely collection of personal stories, visit: www.firstcomeslove.org

Day 6
Yes, my utensils make me happy! Usually I don't give this drawer a second look. I open it in a hasty rush to set the table, grab what I need for cooking, or to as quickly as possible give myself a mechanism to insert peanut butter into my mouth! This week my kids are visiting their aunt out of town and that folks is a game changer. MY LIFE SLOWS DOWN. Upon slowing down and opening this drawer, I noticed 2 things. 1) My silverware had seen better days. While still fully functional it was scratched and simply put - "Not pretty". 2) The drawer was dirty! Food, crumbs, splats, whatever collects in drawers from a family of 4 had definitely collected in this drawer! Yikes! So with my new found slow down in life and some "extra" time, I cleaned out the drawer and switched out my silverware with the super-doper-fancy-wedding set I received 15 years ago from family and friends but have never used... FIFTEEN YEARS! So now everyday, multiple times per day, at every meal, I am using the pretty stuff from the clean drawer. Every time I look into that drawer, I smile. It makes me happy.

Day 4
My kids are visiting their aunt for the week which means hubby and I got to do whatever we wanted today! We chose visiting Hurricane Ridge! It was a summer-like day up there with very little snow. Sunshine makes me happy!
Day 3
I spent the day in the kitchen trying to recreate this breakfast tart we were served in Chile. My attempt wasn't exactly the same but it was close and sooooo good. Happy!
Day 1
This card makes me so happy. I had no reason to buy it, nobody specific to send it to, no idea what I'd do with it... Then I became friends with Tway.
